This is an online course consisting of a series of video-based lessons along with activities using a molecular modeling kit. It does an excellent job conveying the foundational concepts of chemistry (specifically, biochemistry) in a way that is easy to understand for kids, but without any dumbing down. Though the course is called "Biochemistry Literacy for Kids," it contains enough advanced material to be a good fit for high school students and interested adults, as well. It can be successfully used for upper elementary ages on up.

Note that there are many biochemistry modeling kits available for purchase on Amazon, but if you are taking this course you should purchase the kit that is bundled with it, as it contains components that are needed in the course and don't come with other kits.
