Description

This course consists of a systematic self-study program combined with regular conversation practice.

Breaking the Barrier is a comprehensive language program for high-school students. This program systematically explains grammar and uses written tests as well as oral exercises. Each level is designed to be the equivalent of one year of high school Spanish.

Breaking the Barrier offers a "homeschool package," containing books, tests, answer keys, and access to online lessons, which you may access at tobreak.com/pages/homeschool-spanish. Alternatively, students can complete the course using only the online content, as this contains all the vocabulary, grammar explanations, audio and video content used in the course, as well as typed exercises (but it does not include tests). If you are able, we recommend having your student practice conversation with a native speaker one or two days per week. You can schedule these sessions via iTalki or similar language tutoring platform.
