Writing with Ease: Level 2
Description
The Writing with Ease series provides a strong foundation for the development of writing skills in the elementary grades. The practice lessons are based on selections from great books and are thorough without being overly time-consuming.
Each book provides a daily lesson for four days per week over the course of an eight-month academic year. You may choose to alternate the lessons in this course with creative writing of the student's choice, depending on the student's interests.
The Writing with Ease program produces both the workbook recommended here (available at amzn.to/3X0520q), and an instructor's guide which covers years 1 - 4 (available at amzn.to/3CUNVW7). In our experience, the instructor's guide is not necessary for teaching the lessons, but it is helpful to read the overview in pages 1 - 30, and the FAQs in the Appendix.
Cursive writing is also introduced during this course. You may choose to take a break from other writing practice until the recommended cursive handwriting workbook is completed. After that, you should require most writing to be done in cursive for at least six months, or until your child writes as easily in cursive as in print.
